Which of your supplements do I feed a 23 yr old quarter horse. He was recently diagnosed with Cushings. Which of your supplements would best benefit him. He is a bit over weight. He is fed Bermuda hay and Lykan lite pellets twice daily. Thank you for suggestions, for supplements.

Thank you for the question. I would recommend feeding him Horse Guard. It will provide him with vitamins and minerals that are typically lacking in hay, and help to optimize immunity and his overall health, while providing a small dose to not add extra calories and sugar to his diet.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

I have a 30 year old pinto gelding. I just started him on the Super Gain. My question is should i give him the supplement twice daily?
———
Horse Guard :
Jackie,
Thank you for the question. If you feed concentrate twice a day you can split the two scoops(for a 1,000 lb horse) into one in the morning and one in the evening. However, if you only feed a concentrate once a day it is perfectly fine to feed the scoops in one feeding.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

Sincerely,

Does my 5 yr old gelding need supplements if any kind, especially for cost, tail and hooves ?

Horse Guard :
Denise,

Thank you for the question. Every horse should be a vitamin-mineral supplement such as Horse Guard regardless of their age. However, hoof and hair products are specific issue based. If your horse is needing more support our three different specific hoof and hair products are great options.

Hoof Guard is fed at 2 ounces and contains 32 mg of biotin, zinc, methionine, and MSM.

Biotin Hoof Blast is fed at 2 ounces and contains 100 mg of biotin, plus zinc, methionine, and MSM.

Hoof and Hair Guard is fed at 6 ounces contains 100 mg of biotin, zinc, methionine, and packed with amino acids and oil to help moisturize the hair follicle.

Let me know if I can answer any more questions.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kelsey Nonella
